Doubling Down: matching gift announcement

We’re overwhelmed by the generous support YOU and people like you who value the power of free public art have shared during the first few weeks of our Annual Fund Campaign!

You are artists, philanthropists, and planners. You’re residents from Southie to the South End, from Brookline to Cambridge, and many of you show your love for Beantown from far away — that’s our moms! And you’ve already stepped up to say public art matters with charitable gifts ranging from $5 to $5,000.

Every dollar received during our Annual Fund Campaign will support more of what you’ve said you want in Boston: free, welcoming and healing art experiences that don’t require timed tickets or enclosed spaces.

Every dollar given today through the end of the year goes towards building our public art city.

That’s right; we’re excited to announce that we have a matching grant of $10,000 that will propel us closer towards our Annual Fund goal of $85,000 by December 31. Starting today, your $50 gift becomes $100.

We’re already a third of the way towards our goal. Can you help us double down on public art made by artists from all walks of life, cultures, and perspectives?

Together we can keep making public art that evolves, circulates, open doors, and breathes life!

N+T took a leap with me into a new and uncharted project without blinking. They are masterful at helping artists expand their practice in new directions while making sure that a meaningful conversation with diverse audiences doesn’t get lost in the process. PUBLIC ART OPENS DOORS.
— Sari Carel, 2020 The Shape of Play artist
N+T’s support of my work meant the artistic freedom, the financial means, the intellectual support, the teamwork, and collaboration needed to make something meaningful and lasting. Together we built something robust and relevant. PUBLIC ART CIRCULATES.
— Paul Ramirez Jonas, 2016 Public Trust artist
N+T’s commitment to pushing boundaries of what we consider public art is necessary in these ever-changing and mind-expanding times. Support of their work instigates public discourse and thus the opportunity to see ourselves in each other. PUBLIC ART EVOLVES.
— Ann Lewis, 2017 See Her artist
“Now + There’s support of my work confirmed that the talent, excellence, and beauty of my community was already Breathing Life. PUBLIC ART BREATHES LIFE.”
— Rob (Problak) Gibbs, 2019 Breathe Life 3 artist
