Join our partners at the Design Studio for Intervention and a team of dedicated local artists for an Augment collage workshop exploring joy, togetherness, and community on June 20 at 6pm at The Salvation Army Kroc Center at 650 Dudley Street in Roxbury. The resident-made collages will be incorporated into a custom-made building wrap, that will be hung on street banners and on displayed in storefront windows in the neighborhood later this year to promote Augument by Nick Cave. Through these workshops we are merging art and community to support ongoing dialogue on the value of public space and the benefit of creative placemaking and public art installation. By bringing the neighborhood into the creative process of Augment in a hands-on way, we hope to weave the values, identities, and voices of the neighborhood into the artwork from the get-go.
