Tactile Tour + Celebration

Celebrate “Five Marble Leaves” by Claudia Comte and connect with the beauty of nature

Claudia Comte’s “Five Marble Leaves” installation, now open in Central Wharf Park, is inspiring play, touch, and, yes, hugs!

Comte has been inspired by the wonders of nature; for too long, examples of her work have been inaccessible in the US. We’re proud to unveil, with Guest Curator Pedro Alonzo, Comte’s first outdoor exhibit in Boston. Comte’s love of flora and fauna comes to life in Five Marble Leaves, magnificent Carrara marble sculptures, in the form of oak leaves made specifically for Central Wharf Park.

Help us celebrate on Tuesday, October 11, 4-6 pm, rain or shine, with food, hot beverages, and a brief “tactile tour” with Alonzo. This event is free and open to the public.

Five Marble Leaves awakens the inner child, inspiring play, touch, and perhaps a hug. The installation is a reminder of our interdependence and impact on the global ecosystem.

Central Wharf Park is adjacent to the New England Aquarium and the Rose Kennedy Greenway Rings Fountain. It is accessible by the MBTA Aquarium Stop on the Blue Line.
