Sunflowers, radiant youth and hope for the future

Yesterday, on a perfect weather afternoon, we debuted not one but three(!) new collaborative murals in Grove Hall from Ekua Holmes and London Parker-McWhorter. The murals titled “Honoring the past, seeding the future,” remind us that gardening, like murals, can transform neighborhoods. The murals combine Ekua’s vibrant illustrations and London’s detailed photography and cover the wall of Breezes Laundromat and extend to two smaller canvases printed on shipping containers in the adjacent lot.

Thank you to all who joined in celebration and dance! We’d love to know your thoughts about the event, what seeds you are planting in your life and how Now + There can help! Plus for taking our survey, you’ll be entered to win a limited-edition N+T camouflage hat.
