N+T Asks: Can today’s crisis spark tomorrow's cultural equity?

On May 1, 2020, we hosted our fifth N+T Asks conversation. This week Assistant Curator Leah Triplett Harrington asked you and our guests, artists Destiny Polk and Rob “Problak” Gibbs and Executive Director of Amplify Latinx Rosario Ubiera-Minaya, "Can today’s crisis spark tomorrow's cultural equity?" Together we examined issues around representation in art and public life and tackled questions like: who’s being heard? Who is being left out? How are the effects of the pandemic increasing or decreasing representation? And, does this crisis offer us an opportunity to rebalance the arts ecosystem for a more equitable future? Click to watch, read, or listen to the full conversation. And in the comments, leave your thoughts on cultural representation, equity in the arts ecosystem, and opportunities for progress.
