Partnership + Engagement Associate

TIME STATUS & SCHEDULE: Full-time

JOB OVERVIEW: Now + There’s Engagement Department builds intergenerational and interdisciplinary programming to cultivate a more open, vibrant, and equitable Boston public art landscape with the annual Lot Lab program and forthcoming Boston Public Art Triennial. In a critical role, the Partnership & Engagement Associate runs the Public Art Ambassador program and assists in the creation of learning programs and public programs to support extensive community engagement outreach and N+T’s commitment to equity. The Partnership & Engagement Associate ensures that N+T programming is always inclusive, responsive, and proactive to welcome diverse audiences and build toward more openness in Boston.

The Associate reports to the Director of Partnership & Engagement (DoPE) and works alongside other team members to support, implement, and promote programs for Lot Lab and Triennial.

JOB MISSION: Develop and support partnerships & programs that welcome intergenerational audiences, regardless of contemporary art knowledge, race, ethnicity, or economic status to participate in building a vibrant and equitable public art city.

  • Successful hiring and management of Public Art Ambassadors (PAA) annually (Lot Lab and Triennial)

  • Monthly programs at Lot Lab in 2024

  • Implementation of new tracking systems for programs and partnerships

  • Successful completion of Community Listening Sessions with DoPE

  • Now + There programs reach the broad and diverse audiences that make up the city of Boston and are measured by “I feel welcome here” is greater than 8 on a 1-10 scale. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Public Art Ambassador (PAA) program

    • Recruitment and hiring process with support of the DoPE

    • Scheduling and communicating with PAAs

  • Engagement Support

    • Supports DoPE with brainstorming and development of programming for Lot Lab and Triennial (learning programs and public programs)

    • Leads on-site support of all programming at Lot Lab, including setup, breakdown, and communication with partners day-of.

    • Supports DoPE in logistics and planning of Community Listening Sessions; including record keeping of sessions

    • Collect and tabulate participant surveys and/or other evaluation data for Lot Lab

  • Partnership Support

    • Research and identify new potential partners for Lot Lab and Triennial

    • Conduct outreach and promotion to potential and existing partners

  • Administration Support

    • Assists with scheduling meetings with new and existing partners, including community, school, arts, and civic organizations.

    • Provides administrative support to DoPE for Community Advisory Board meetings

    • Collects data and maintains records of all programs and partnerships (e.g., Lot Lab and Triennial).


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years experience in a related field such as art, art history, arts education, and museum studies

  • Experience in working with and communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including employees across all levels and departments, the public, guest artists, and community organizations.

  • High attention to detail with strong project management skills

  • Ability to multi-task and juggle competing priorities

  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills


HOURS: This is a full-time position in N+T’s open floor-plan office with the option for remote work 2 days per week. Attending programs and events as required, including some evening and weekend hours as dictated by events and workflow.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Compensation is $55,000-60,000 with unlimited paid vacation (Responsible Vacation Policy), 14 paid holidays, paid sick time, and healthcare and dental benefits.
